Watching This Clip from Killswitch Engage’s Upcoming Live DVD is the Next Best Thing to Seeing Them Live in Person

Killswitch Engage’s 2013 release Disarm the Descent is a grower. I liked it well enough upon release, but once the pre-release hype machine faded so did my interest in the album. Until I popped it on a few days ago for the first time since then and found myself singing along to every song. Maybe it’s got to do with Jesse Leach’s return to the band — via what he brings as a vocalist, or indirectly as a vitamin boost to all the other dudes in the band — or maybe the guys just tried extra hard this time around, but they really did deliver a phenomenal album, probably their best since End of Heartache.

Seeing Killswitch Engage live is the ultimate, though: they bring it every single time, and they’re just so much FUN! Check out this clip of Disarm the Descent album track “No End in Sight” from KsE’s upcoming, as-of-yet untitled live DVD/BluRay, shot at The Palladium in Worecester, MA last Halloween and directed by Ian McFarland and Mike Pecci. The band’s energy is ragingly contagious, and it’d be that way even if they weren’t wearing silly costumes for the holiday.

More on the live release as soon as we get it. Meanwhile, Killswitch Engage are in the studio right now recording a new album. Maybe all that money Adam D. made by selling the cars he won on The Price is Right will go towards buying him a new set of extra special capes and daisy dukes.
