Gyre “Release” New Song

If you’re in the mood for something that’s big n’ heavy but also melodic n’ catchy but also doesn’t strictly conform to metal’s most touchy-feely, good cop/bad cop clichés from the past decade, then Gyre is the band for you. You should already be hip to this band — they’re NYC Sucks alum! —  but if you’re not, now is a good time to become a fan… ’cause they’re releasing a new EP, Moirai, on May 12!

Metal Injection has premiered the debut single from Moirai, “I Release,” which you can check out below. It’s been stuck in my head for the last thirty minutes, and will very likely get stuck in yours as well. Listen:
