Decibel 54 Flexi Agoraphobic NosebleedThere’s a pretty substantial queue of bands patiently waiting to blow shit up in the Flexi Series. I haven’t asked Albert recently, but I’m pretty sure we’ve got over a year’s worth of flexis planned. Possibly well over a year’s worth. So, I’m sure somebody is getting a little butthurt every time Agoraphobic Nosebleed’s filthy mouths pop up on plastic inside your favorite metal mag. This is the third fucking time the grindcore provocateurs have (dis)graced the Flexi Series. Usually we enlist their services to belittle J.C.’s birthday, first with January 2012’s Make a Joyful Noise EP (11 songs), then again with January 2013’s “Merry Chrystmeth.” If you’re sick of brand new otherworldly offensive ANb songs, ’tis the season for re-recordings of otherworldly offensive ANb songs, in the form of The Honkey Reduction EP in the June issue.

The demented supergroup (featuring former and current members of Pig Destroyer, Drugs of Faith, Salome and Isis) re-recorded four tracks from their first two full-lengths, 1998’s Honky Reduction and 2002’s Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope. This nasty slab of red-on-white plastic is set to coincide with ANb’s almost-first-ever live appearance at this year’s Maryland Deathfest over Memorial Day weekend. Can they play their entire discography in one show? I wouldn’t put anything past this band. Either way, these re-recordings absolutely hammer. Leave good taste far, far behind and check it out:
