Sing Along with Between the Buried and Me’s Cover of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”

BTBAM / QueenPro tip: “Bohemian Rhapsody” makes an excellent song for a very drunken singalong in group situations. The drunker the better. Next time you’re at a wedding, and said wedding has a shuttle bus that takes all your open-bar-drunk asses back to the hotel afterwards, stand up on said bus and belt out those famous opening lines. By the time “Open your eyes…” comes around you’ll have the entire bus along for the ride with you, and I guarantee between all of you you’ll be able to get through the entire song. And it will be glorious.

That’s not quite what happened when Between the Buried and Me launched into the Queen classic during New England Metal and Hardcore Fest’s Friday night headlining set this past weekend, but close: it’s one of those songs EVERYONE knows the words to, and the audience was all too happy to join frontman Tommy Rogers in the effort. The band, for their part, takes some creative licenses with the track to make it their own in certain spots, which is always a nice touch, although for most part its a straight cover.
