Jam New Failure Song “Hot Traveler,” Travel to See Their Hot Tour with Hum

FailureLike their ’90s brethren in Faith No More and Refused, Failure’s legend has grown exponentially during the time they’ve been away. More so, perhaps, since Failure were mostly appreciated by the uber-nerd set. Says our own resident wise man Anso DF: “Maybe their name reached you via recommendations from metal dudes in Tool and Cave In, but you probably haven’t met any evangelical homers like those repping Jellyfish, Faith No More, and Refused. But you know they’re loved by metal guys, like all non-metal discussed here.”

So far we’ve heard a pair of songs from The Heart is a Monster, Failure’s forthcoming effort: “Come Crashing,” which came out last year, and “Mulholland Drive,” which dropped just a couple of weeks ago. So far so good, mostly? Neither has had quite the punch I’d hoped for — I was always more for the ballsy stuff on Magnified than the pensive tunes on Fantastic Planet — but thankfully this new jam “Hot Traveler,” the video for which premiered on Alt Press yesterday, has the heavier fix I’d been needing. The video isn’t embeddable, but you can watch it right here.

Failure’s fourth studio album, The Heart Is A Monster, comes out June 30 (pre-order). Catch ’em on tour this summer all over the U.S., including a string of co-headline dates with Hum (!). Dates below.
