In The “Stolas” Video, Scale The Summit Are The New Enuff Z’Nuff

As far as wonky instrumental metal bands go, Scale The Summit are pretty boss. Their music manages to hit both the technical and listenable chord, all while channeling everything from Dick Dale to Yngwie Malmsteen.

But their new video for the track “Stolas” shakes off those prog-metal shackles in return for some leopard-print big hair cock rock straight out of the mid- to late-’80s, complete with Pop Up Video info bubbles and all the scarves you can eat. While the video for Enuff Z’Nuff’s “Fly High Michelle” might be the biggest candy-colored turd of that decade, the boys in Z’Cale The Z’Ummit are doing their best here to unseat the masters.

“Stolas” comes from V, the band’s new album out September 18th from Prosthetic. The above image is its cover art, and it’s pretty fucking sweet.
