Wild Throne Harvest the Darkness in New Video

0

Wild ThroneSay, did you catch the “Idol Listening” guest playlist feature that Wild Throne drummer Noah Burns put together for MetalSucks? The theme was “Wild Throne’s 15 Most Influential Bands from Washington State,” and the list included gems by Big Business, Blood Brothers, Botch, Helms Alee and more (including, uh, Sir Mix-A-Lot), not exactly your standard metal band playlist. But Wild Throne are no standard metal band: though they could fit in well on a tour with any number of metal bands they’re punks at heart, and as we learned last month when they hit the road with Royal Thunder their live shows are just electric. Their upcoming debut full-length, Harvest of Darkness, is due August 21st via Roadrunner Records and it’s easily one of the most anticipated debuts in recent memory, at least for this writer.

So: here’s the title track from that record with an accompanying music video courtesy of Noisey. The song is an absolute ripper and a perfect microcosm of what Wild Throne are all about, but so is the video: I love how they’ve subverted the standard “band playing in a grassy field” theme by… well, you’ll have to watch to find out.

For more Wild Throne check out the track “War is a Romance” at the bottom of this post.
