CRTxMetalSucks 2015Converse Rubber Tracks x MetalSucks has returned! For the third year in a row, MetalSucks has teamed up with Converse to offer metal bands an opportunity to record COMPLETELY FOR FREE at the state-of-the-art Converse Rubber Tracks recording studio in Brooklyn.

But wait, there’s more: a new Converse Rubber Tracks facility just opened up in Boston, so we’ll be running sessions at both studios simultaneously throughout the week of September 28th! Will Putney (The Acacia Strain, Suicide Silence, Exhumed) will be returning for his second year producing the Brooklyn sessions, while Kurt Ballou (Converge, High on Fire, Torche) joins to run the show in Boston, meaning we’ll be selecting TEN BANDS to be part of this year’s CRTxMetalSucks series to record with some of the most accomplished producers in metal. All at no cost whatsoever to the bands. And the recordings will be yours to do whatever you please with, forever, no strings attached. Huzzah!

Registration is open NOW through August 2nd, meaning there’s less than one week left to submit your band. SIGN UP HERE. Make sure to include a link to listen to music that shows off your best stuff.

MetalSucks co-head-honchos Vince and Axl will sort through the entries together with Will and Kurt and select their collective favorites. The sessions will take place between September 28th and October 2nd in either Brooklyn or Boston; your band will be assigned one day, and you’ll be responsible for getting there yourself (sorry; we’re already covering your recording, you expect us to pay for travel too??). Vince and Axl will also be on-hand in the studio to hang out and provide back rubs (just ask the guys in CRTxMetalSucks 2014 participants Blackest), and the Metal Injection lads will be there taking video footage as well.

Good luck! See you in September.
