Geoff Tate’s Operation: Mindcrime, Featuring Geoff Tate, the Voice of Queensrÿche’s Operation: Mindcrime Releases Video for “The Burn”

Geoff Tate’s Operation: Mindcrime, featuring Geoff Tate, the voice of Queensrÿche’s Operation: Mindcrime, will release their debut album, The Key, on September 18th via Frontiers Records.

So far we’ve heard a song called “Re-Inventing the Future” which sounded about like what you’d expect Tate solo material to sound like. Today we get another one called “The Burn” — and an accompanying music video — and, well, it also sounds about like what you’d expect Tate solo material to sound like. In short: it’s not that good, but it’s also not that bad. I find it difficult to muster any sort of emotions about it. Sorry if that seems like a cop out, but… meh. Mostly I just think it’s funny to laugh at Tate’s super-cool new haircut.
