Home renovations are the worst. There’s nothing like waking up at six in the morning to the sound of eight Ukranian dudes drilling your living room to pieces. I’d rather live with water stains in my walls than shuffle around on a drop cloth surrounded by exhausted strangers every day for a month.

But Wes Borland of Limp Bizkit isn’t scared! Not only are he and his wife renovating their Detroit house, they’re documenting said renovation and putting it on television. They’ll be featured on “American Rehab: Motor City”, and upcoming show on the DIY Network, which, according to general manager Allison Page, is not a channel where you learn how to sew on an All Pigs Must Die patch using dental floss:

“Whether you’re interested in historic home restoration, whimsical treehouses or fast-paced smash and remodel jobs, DIY Network will ignite your passion for do-it-yourself projects.”

Yeah, okay. Last night I nearly killed myself trying to relight the pilot light in our water heater. Think I’ll pass.

Anyway, the show might be fun, if only to see a man who co-wrote a song named “Break Stuff” getting frustrated as he repeatedly shocks himself. The episode airs this winter, so keep an eye out, though honestly, between you and me, just watch the Metalocalypse episode about renovating. You’ll like it more, and it’ll probably better portray the renovation process.
