Refused Cancel November West Coast Tour Dates

Refused have been riding high since the release of their new record Freedom, and having touring accordingly. However, the band has just canceled all of their upcoming West Coast dates in November.

Refused released the following statement:

“Due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict, Refused are forced to cancel all upcoming US West Coast dates in November. Please refer to your point of purchase for a refund. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.”

Wait, hold on — an unforseen scheduling conflict? It’s not like they invited two girls to the same dance, Refused booked a multi-date tour. Did the entire band blank that someone’s baby was due during that time? Why not just do half the dates, or a few select shows? This must be some scheduling conflict if the only way to accommodate it is to cancel an entire tour.

We smell fish over here at MetalSucks. It sounds like something drastic might be going on in the Refused camp. How does a band not notice they had something else on the books –something so important it trumps a tour — until a month before they’re supposed to hop on a plane?
