After calling Tool fans “insufferable” and “retards” in an interview earlier this week, frontman / master troll Maynard James Keenan clarified that comment by explaining that he only meant a certain subsection of Tool fanatics and obsessives.

He’s right, though, isn’t he? Some Tool fans are absolutely batshit crazy. And will click on any link with even the remote promise of something happening in the Tool camp. Like you! You just did it! Pat yourself on the back, Maynard thinks you’re insufferable.

Here’s the photo you came for, posted yesterday on Puscifer’s Instagram account. Don’t get too excited, though; it’s more likely that Maynard and drummer Danny Carey were just rehearsing for Tool’s upcoming Halloween “Monster Mash” show in Tempe, AZ.
