Rob Scallon Wrote a Song Using Every Fret on Every String (Chords Don’t Count!)

0

Last week Rob Scallon released a video in which he used only one fret (but all six strings) to produce a full, cohesive, catchy song.

Now he’s taken that concept and flipped it on its head: a song using every fret on every string!

Guitar nerds will surely be quick to point out that Scallon has accomplished this feat mostly by using chromatic runs — quick bursts of successive notes on the 12-note scale that don’t require he stay confined to the key of the song — and might label that a bit of a cop out. I say that’s poppycock: this is still pretty fucking cool and required a whole lot of forethought.

Check out the video below. More videos by Rob Scallon here.
