It’s coming on two years since Brooklyn psychedelic sludge artists Tombs released the breathtaking Savage Goldwhich had critics and fans alike slavering for more. Well, now they’re going to get it, as the band has announced a new EP titled All Empires Fall, and has streamed a new track from it.

The track, “Deceiver,” is an atmospheric rager, with a bit of creepy 1980’s goth influences shining through every so often. It’s everything you want from a Tombs track — brooding, monstrous, foreboding, but also infectious and rocking. The band killed it when I saw them opening for 1349 last month, and given what I’m hearing, I’m even more excited for the new material than I was before.

Be swept up by “Deceiver” below. All Empires Fall comes out on April 1st from Relapse, but you can pre-order it here.
