Can you smell that? It smells like hair spray, headbands and fabulousness. Normally, we catch a whiff of that smell when Steel Panther are up to something, so let’s check…Yep, they’re definitely up to something!

That something is the band’s first live DVD, Live From Lexxi’s Mom’s Garage, which features an acoustic set mixed in with Steel Panther’s off-stage antics. It should come as no surprise that most of said off-stage antics deal with Steel Panther figuring out what pussy they can slay and what pussy they cannot slay. Isn’t that really the life we all want? Yes, yes it is.

I have to say it’s pretty strange hearing an acoustic set that is so ridiculously sexed up. Steel Panther didn’t just stop at playing their normal over-sexed music, they went full out and got a some female violinists, and a cello player, to provide some backing instrumentation and they are all smoking hot. So even if you get bored of the acoustic sound, you can still enjoy the eye candy in the background… assuming you can see over all that huge hair.

Live From Lexxi’s Mom’s Garage drops February 26 via Open E Records, and you can preorder it here. You can preview “The Burden Of Being Wonderful,” as well as the track list for the rest of the DVD, below.
