Walls of Jericho: Still “Relentless”

0

Walls of Jericho are one of those bands that never moved me one way or the other, although I do remember them tearing shit up when I saw them on the 2008 Rockstar Mayhem Festival — frontwoman Candace Kucsulain had the crowd GOING, that’s for sure.

We haven’t heard much from the Detroit natives recently, but they’ll release their first new album in eight years, No One Can Save You From Yourself, on March 25th. The band just dropped a new song from that album called “Relentless” — which they first put out as a demo a couple of years ago — and it’s more or less what you’d expect from this band if you know anything about them: hardcore riffs with some thrash influence, uplifting / PMA lyrics and a shout-along chorus. And it’s good! Whether or not you’re into this brand of hardcore I think we can all agree this tune is damn catchy.

Anyway, is there a solid group of Walls of Jericho fans anxiously awaiting this album, or has the metal world more or less moved on in the eight years since they last released music? I honestly have no idea, but we’ll find out when Napalm releases No One Can Save You From Yourself on March 25th. Pre-order it here.
