Listen: Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game” Covered in the Style of Type O Negative

Thank Peter Steele’s corpse for the existence of StereoType O Negative, a band that covers random songs in the style of Brooklyn’s most famously bleak metal export.

In December we introduced you all to the band with their bone-chilling rendition of Wham!’s “Last Christmas” (lol @ “bone-chilling” and “Wham!” in the same sentence), and today we’re extremely pleased to premiere their version of Chris Isaak’s classic “Wicked Game.” Sure, others have covered this tune before — most notably in the metal world, H.I.M. — so StereoType O Negative decided to take a different approach beyond just a basic Steele-ification of the track, producing an uptempo version to get your blood flowing (think: “I Don’t Want to Be Me”).
