Skeletor, Donnie Darko Actor Star in Anthrax’s “Blood Eagle Wings” Video

Anthrax’s new video for their song “Blood Eagle Wings” portrays a dungeon wherein a group of prisoners are being tortured and executed in a number of interesting ways, all portrayed with a fair share of gore (even if shit never reaches Cattle Decapitation levels of disgusting). I’m not sure if it’s meant to be scary or not, but most of it looks so fake it ends up being funny. That’s not a diss, by the way — I’m an 80s slasher fan! I like my horror with some humor.

Also working in the video’s favor: actor James Duval, who you may remember as the scary rabbit guy from Donnie Darko, or Randy Quaid’s son in Independence Day, or as Keanu Reeves in a number of Gregg Araki movies. I feel like I haven’t seen him in forever. He’s aged really well!

Also, Skeletor is there. I haven’t seen him in a long time, either, but he has also aged pretty well.

Also also, Metalocalypse‘s Brendon Small and comedian/celebrity metal fan Brian Posehn are there. But I see them all the time and they seem to be aging okay, too.

Watch “Blood Eagle Wings” below, courtesy of Rolling Stone. Like I said, it’s violent, so maybe don’t watch it at work? The song appears on Anthrax’s new album, For All Kings, which is out now. Check out MetalSucks’ rave review here.
