The New Tombs Video Might Give You Seizures and/0r Nightmares

All Empires Fall, the upcoming EP from Brooklyn’s Tombs, is quickly cementing itself as an Album Of The Year contender. If “Deceiver,” the first new track from Empires, didn’t win you over, then the video for “V” will.

Anyone familiar with the band won’t be surprised that the “V” video is trippy as Hell, but even a longtime supporter like myself was stunned to see how cool, dark, and well-produced it is. Directed by Jaclyn Sheer, the video has no linear story here to speak of — maybe I just didn’t pick up on it — but the visceral mix of occult symbols, dancing witches, endless woods, and Mike Hill’s thousand-yard-stare is impressive as all Hell. Epileptics be warned, though, this video is full of flashing lights and pictures.
