The Faceless Drop Off BTBAM Tour and Cancel Solo Dates

0

Update, 2:58 p.m. The band has offered the following explanation for their dropping off of these tours:

Original story follows.

Both Lambgoat and The PRP are reporting that several promoters on the upcoming six-week tour featuring Between the Buried and Me, The Faceless, August Burns Red and Good Tiger have removed The Faceless from show listings. While the band hasn’t released any official statement yet, MetalSucks has been able to confirm that The Faceless are dropping off the tour, and further that they’re canceling the headline dates they recently announced with Scale the Summit, Rivers of Nihil and Native Construct.

It’s been a real bummer to watch the decline of The Faceless in recent years. As Sergeant D recently pointed out (in his usual humorous fashion), this band was at the top of their game around five years ago and was poised for HUGE things, only to flush it all away with continuous lineup changes, taking forever to release new music and a series of touring miscues. The music Michael Keene has made is borderline genius, but at this point I’m not sure why anybody bothers to work with him; it always just ends in disappointment.

We’ll keep you all posted if we hear anything else.
