Scott Stapp Replacing Scott Weiland… But Not in Stone Temple Pilots

There was a rumor going around yesterday that Scott Stapp is replacing the late Scott Weiland in Stone Temple Pilots. Well, the rumor was half-true: Stapp is replacing Weiland, but not in STP. He’s joined Art of Anarchy, the supergroup which also features guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (ex-Guns N’ Roses) and bassist John Moyer (Disturbed, ex-Union Underground). Although Weiland sang on Art of Anarchy’s debut album last year, he was not an actual member of the band; I’m assuming Stapp’s position is intended to be more permanent.

So, there ya have it: STP fans can rest easy, and Art of Anarchy fans can… wait… are there any Art of Anarchy fans???
