May the Fourth Be With You: Galactic Empire Releases Metallicized Imperial March

Today is May 4th, which, in case your reproductive organs have a life, is Star Wars Day. This seems to be the case mostly so people can say “May the fourth be with you.” Why isn’t Star Wars Day on April 4th or June 4th or any other 4th? Such grandiose questions are not for me to ask.

ANYWAY, to celebrate Star Wars Day 2016, the Force-themed band Galactic Empire have launched a video for their cover of John Williams’ legendary “Imperial March,” a.k.a. “The Music I Wish Would Play Right Before My Shadow Enters a Room Followed Shortly by My Physical Self, Because How Badass Would That Be?”

You may remember these (presumably) dudes from this past December, when they celebrated the release of The Force Awakens with an awesome cover of the Star Wars theme. This is even better, even if you gotta wonder why they haven’t added Kylo Ren or Captain Phasma or even TR8R to the line-up at this point. (Actually I guess that Stormtrooper could be TR8R and we’d have no way of knowing.) (Yes I am a dweeb.)

If you dug that — and I know you did! — you should know that Galactic Empire have launched a Kickstarter campaign “to promote the release of their debut full length album, and fund plans for touring. Both are to come later this year.” Contribute here.

This also seems like a good time to remind you about MetalSucks’ awesome Metal Warz shirts! Get yours here!!!
