Robb Flynn Recovers Stolen Guitars Six Years Later, Including the One He Got From Dimebag

0

In 2010, before I signed on and began ruining this site, we reported that Machine Head’s Robb Flynn had his house burglarized by some miserable pieces of shit. Among those stolen were the guitar that recorded Machine Head’s Burn My Eyes and a guitar given to him by Dimebag Darrell himself.

When the guitars were stolen, Flynn offered a cash reward on them, but given that six years had passed since the burglary it looked like they were lost to time… until yesterday, when a woman named Holly Cherry returned two of the guitars to Flynn, including both his unreleased Epiphone Signature Series prototype and the Washburn Dimebolt given to him by Dimebag.

As you can see in the video below, Cherry apparently found the guitars in the back of a storage unit which she purchased for $10, hoping to “find the Holy Grail.” Instead, she found the two guitars, one of which–the Signature Series prototype–had Flynn’s signature on the head. Cherry contacted Bryan Kehoe at Jim Dunlop Strings and Pedals, who in turn contacted Flynn’s old Forbidden bandmate Craig Locicero, and voila.

Two of Flynn’s guitars are still missing–the Burn My Eyes guitar and his son’s Flying V–so if you have any information about their whereabouts, definitely pass them on. In the meantime, watch this video from Machine Head’s Facebook of Flynn being reunited with his trusty axes.
