Video: An Exclusive Look Inside Gojira’s New NYC Recording Studio

0

Much has been made of the fact that Gojira recorded the band’s new album Magma in their very own recording studio in NYC, and with good reason: frontman Joe Duplantier, with help from his brother Mario and some of the band’s crew, spent the better part of two years constructing that studio from scratch with his own two hands and recording the album.

Now Silver Cord Studio is open for operations, and Joe has been kind enough to give Gear Gods an exclusive tour of the facility so Gojira fans — and any bands wishing to utilize the studio in the future — can see exactly what it’s all about. It’s a pro studio, with all the accoutrements, and there’s some really cool timelapse footage of the construction process. Also: Mario’s art on the walls!
