Video: John Oliver’s Hilarious Evanescence Joke on Last Week Tonight

If you’re not watching Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO, you are depriving yourself of experiencing one of the funniest and most informative programs on television right now. Oliver and his team are working at a level on par with Jon Stewart in his prime. I consider the show to be unmissable.

I mention the show now because last night’s episode featured a segment about debt, and that segment included a completely out of left field gag about Evanescence. I have no idea what could have possibly prompted Oliver and his writers to make the joke… but by golly, I sure am glad they did!
