Sinsaenum, former Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison’s new band that is actually new, have released a two-song EP in advance of the July 29 unveiling of their debut full-length, Echoes of the Tortured. There’s only two tracks on the EP, but we haven’t heard either of ’em yet (the band’s first single was a different song, “Army of Chaos,” which you can check out here), and they’re both pretty decent, mixing elements of black and death metal with the completely nonsensical guitar solos of Slayer. It’s not mind-blowing or anything, but unlike with Vimic, you won’t feel like a dweeb if you admit that you dig it.

Check out the EP below. In addition to Jordison, the band features Attila Csihar (Mayhem), Frédéric Leclercq (Dragonforce), Sean Zatorsky (ex-Chimaira, ex-Dååth), and some dudes you probably don’t care about. Enjoy.
