The Modern Age Slavery Free Two Members

Requiem for Us All, the sophomore effort from Italy’s The Modern Age Slavery, was my favorite metal album of 2013. Unfortunately, the record never really caught on with the metal community in any kind of substantial way. In fact, 99% of the reason I’m writing this post to is try and lure new converts. Requiem for Us All is fucking heavy it may cause your speakers to burst right through the goddamn floor.

Unfortunately, the other reason I’m writing this story is because the band has now lost two members — guitarist Simone “Sym” Bertozzi and drummer Filippo De Pietri. De Pietri’s loss isn’t cause for concern — he wasn’t even in the band yet when they made Requiem — but Bertozzi is a big question mark. TMAS is another band about whose songwriting process I know very little, so the loss could have a major impact on their sound, or no impact whatsoever. Hopefully it’s the latter.

The band plans to announce replacements soon. Hopefully some new music arrives with that announcement.
