Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Behemoth, Trivium and More are Auctioning Off Guitars to Benefit Orlando Pulse Nightclub Victims

0

How would you like to own a signature version of a famous metal musician’s guitar for the price of a raffle ticket? What if that guitar were autographed? And what if you could do so knowing that the funds raised through the auction will go to benefit victims of last month’s shooting at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando?

Thanks to Trivium, who are organizing the auction, you can do exactly that: the Orlando natives have teamed up with radio station WJRR to round up a group of high-profile metal musicians to autograph their signature model guitars and put them up for auction, with proceeds going to The OneOrlando Fund. So far members of Iron Maiden, Behemoth, Megadeth, Shinedown and Sacred Reich have agreed to participate, although the exact details of which members of those bands will have items up for auction (and which items those will be) aren’t yet available; currently only Trivium’s items are posted, but keep checking this link for updates.

It’s awesome to see Trivium, whether they’re your thing or not, stepping up to organize something like this on such a large scale. Raffle tickets cost just $10 for one, $50 for 10, and $100 for 30. The raffle closes at 4pm EDT today, July 11th.

More info, and links to buy raffle tickets for the guitars, can be found here. Those outside the US should use this link instead.
