Listen: Castle Welcomes You To Their Graveyard

You might think that there must be two bands named Castle. I mean, that would explain why you’ve noticed like four albums in the past half-decade or so credited to a band called Castle. All that couldn’t be the output of just one band; there must be two random bands that each landed on the name Castle. That’s not far-fetched, right?

Or maybe you’ll figure that Castle is one organization with two line-ups playing the same songs, like Trans Siberian Orchestra or L.A. Guns. That would explain all the albums and a tour itinerary that lists shows on like 35 consecutive days. An endless, repetitive slog with no days off for a solid month? That’s at least two Castles.

But no, there is but one Castle and all that uninterrupted work has made them awesome. Their new album Welcome To The Graveyard (below) is a document of their precision songcraft and that elusive “this world is horror and life is dark but so am I” vibe perfected by Danzig and Ghost. And Graveyard is an emphatic ad for an undoubtably cool, smoky live show, too. Which is good because they’re definitely playing your town. Crank it up!

Castle’s Welcome To The Graveyard is out tomorrow via Ván. Pre-order here.
