Breaking Olds: Flotsam And Jetsam New Album Rips

It’s been a couple months since Flotsam and Jetsam released their self-titled new album, their first with Shadows Fall drummer/weed dealer Jason Bittner and 12th overall. Your first experience with it might’ve been “Time To Go” (below), about which one obvious conclusion is that, like Megadeth, F&J sounds awesome with a fiery, high-energy drummer, which happens to be the most physical position in a band of older dudes who by definition in general possess less sustained interest in exertion. And that’s cool, but Flotsam And Jetsam doesn’t sound like that. Their remake of a classic album kinda did, but whatever.

In short, Flotsam And Jetsam‘s drums sound awesome and the other four-fifths of Flots sounds motivated to keep up. It worked out great, so now the late-era F&J can boast three straight awesome albums. Three new awesome songs below!

Flotsam And Jetsam’s new self-titled album came out in May via AFM. Get it here.
