Korn Play New Song “Rotting In Vain” at Chicago Open Air, Jonathan Davis is Scatting Again

Apparently you had a blast if you went to Chicago Open Air. First, we had an 82-year-old Navy veteran rocking out onstage with Drowning Pool and now we have a new Korn song. A lot of Korn’s newer stuff has been disappointing or simply left me scratching my head — I’m looking at you, Path of Totality — but “Rotting In Vain” has a very noticeable old school Korn feel to it, which rocks.

This sounds so old school that Jonathan Davis is scatting. That’s right, everybody’s favorite animal noises from “Freak On A Leash” are back with a vengeance and what do you know, the song is actually good. No dubstep to be found here, folks. The quality of the video might be a little bootleggy, but hopefully we can expect to hear a studio version as a single sooner rather than later, and we would like to remind you that Korn have a new album coming out…. eventually. No  release date or title but we’ll let you know as soon as we do.

Did I mention that the new album will feature Corey Taylor?
