Korn Announce New Album The Serenity of Suffering, Release “Rotting in Vain” Single + Video

Korn - The Serenity of Suffering

Korn have announced that they’ll release their twelfth studio album, The Serenity of Suffering, on October 21 — just in time for me to go to all my Halloween parties as a Korn fan! I think if I stop bathing now my hair may be the right amount of grody come 10/31.

But I digress.

The band has also released the first single from Suffering, “Rotting in Vain,” via the below music video. I was actually kind of excited to check it out because the clip stars Tommy Flanagan, a.k.a. “The Dude Who Has to Give Up his Wife as Part of Prima Nocta in Braveheart.” But then the song started. I got as far as the lyric “I wouldn’t be angry if you’d just fucking cry/ Your tears would arouse me, refreshing my supply,” realized I’d just killed a few billion brain cells, and turned it off.

But no hey yeah by all means have fun:

I look forward to making Emperor Rhombus write all the other obligatory posts about this record in the coming months. Hoo-ray for torturing the staff!
