Allegaeon are Proponents for Sentience

Having already unveiled a song from the album (“Gray Matter Mechanics – Appassionata Ex Machinea” — listen here), Allegaeon have now announced official details for their new album, Proponent for Sentience… and released another song from that album, “Proponent For Sentience III – The Extermination”… which also happens to feature guest appearances by Soilwork vocalist Bjorn “Speed” Strid and Scar Symmetry guitarist Benjamin Ellis. Phew!

So, first thing’s first: check out the song via the below playthrough video. Unsurprisingly, it’s a really cool song; if you’re the least bit familiar with Allegaeon, Soilwork, and/or Scar Symmetry, you know what sort of sweet melodeath to expect.

The clip is also worth watching even if you don’t particularly give a hoot about the musicianship of the track, ’cause “Speed” Strid’s role in the video is… well… I won’t spoil it for you.
