Exclusive Premiere: Valborg, “Ich Bin Total”

Last year we introduced you to German doom trio Valborg, who we affectionately dubbed the Type O Negative for today’s generation of metalheads. They’re darker and heavier than Type O, and the vocals are in a whole different stratosphere, but there’s a certain vibe about their music that just screams Peter Steele and co.

Today MetalSucks is pleased to premiere a brand new song from Valborg called “Ich Bin Total.” The band’s been playing it live for years, and it was written before last year’s album Romantik, but this is the first time they’ve put it tape:

Originating from the pre-Romantik era, these songs [“Ich Bin Total” and “Werwolf”] represent the best of what Valborg stands for and also offer a glimpse of what is about to follow on the sixth full-length record, which is already in the making. But most of all this recording is meant to fulfill the wishes of those loyal ones who kept attending Valborg shows and begging for these songs to be available on physical and digital supports.
