“Truth” is, This New In Flames Song is Pretty Meh

So In Flames have a new album called Battles coming out. And while, at this point in history, the news of a new In Flames album doesn’t really seem like reason to celebrate, the album’s first single, “The End” was actually pretty promising (listen here).

Alas, the same cannot be said about the album’s second single, “The Truth.” Like the material from the past three In Flames albums, “The Truth” feels like metal’s answer to cotton candy — it begins to melt away the moment it’s consumed. I’m not even sure I’d call it a bad song; it’s just not remotely memorable.
