Exclusive Track Premiere: Ion Dissonance’s “Suffering: The Art of Letting Go”

Ion Dissonance - Cast the First Stone

Apparently, nobody told Montreal’s Ion Dissonance that people are supposed to mellow with age. It’s been six years since these illustrious Founding Fathers of Deathcore put out a new release. But their forthcoming album, Cast the First Stone, isn’t just as intense as anything Ion Dissonance have done before — it’s one of the most intense albums of 2016, period.

Find that claim doubtful? Listen to the Stone track “Suffering: The Art of Letting Go” and hear for yourself. The music is so angular it will feel like it’s gonna slice your ear drums in two, so spastic it will induce whiplash, and so heavy you won’t be able to move while it’s playing — it’s like having a massive, jagged boulder on your chest.

Christ, we missed this band.

MetalSucks is thrilled to debut  “Suffering: The Art of Letting Go” below! Cast the First Stone will be out November 18 on Good Fight. Pre-order it here. The band also has a bunch of tour dates coming up with Fit for an Autopsy and some other cool bands; you can get those dates at the bottom of this post!
