Metallica Perform “Moth Into Flame” Live for the First Time

This past Monday evening, Metallica played a special charity show at Manhattan’s Webster Hall, a venue about one-twelfth the size of those the band normally plays (capacity in Webster Hall’s Grand Ballroom = 1,500, concert capacity at Madison Square Garden = 18,000+). That would make the performance noteworthy enough — but the show also featured the live debut of the band’s new single, “Moth Into Flame.”

So how did it sound? Well, why doncha watch the below Metal Injection video of the perfomance and find out for yourself, eh? Then head to the comments section to be like “YES METALLICA R BACK!!!” or “OMG LARS LURN 2 PLAY DRUMZ ALLREDDY!”

Metallica’s new album, Hardwired… to Self-Destruct comes out November 18.
