Fenriz from Darkthrone Calls the Lords of Chaos Movie “The Worst Idea Since Un-Sliced Bread”

In case you haven’t heard, they are once again threatening to turn Lords of Chaos, the book about black metal’s origins, into a movie… and, once again, they’re threatening to make some odd casting choices, as Varg Vikernes, Scream 4‘s Rory Culkin as Euronymous, the kid who played Young Hodor on Game of Thrones as Slayer Magazine founder Jon “Metalion” Kristiansen, and this young lady as a groupie:

Even with (or especially with, if you’ve seen his other movies) former Bathory drummer Jonas Åkerlund directing the film, the whole thing seems like a bad idea. The only thing that seems promising about the movie is that Brooklyn‘s Emory Cohen will portray Varg Vikernes, and that’s only promising because the fact that a Jewish actor is playing the notorious anti-semite has no doubt sent Vikernes to go weep over his shitty RPG.

And now at least two prominent black metal musicians who will no doubt be portrayed in the flick have spoken out against. Mayhem’s Necrobutcher slammed the project last year, and now Fenriz from Darkthrone has expressed his own doubts that the movie will be any good:

But since they’re gonna make this movie regardless of who may be rolling in their graves, Fenriz has a casting suggestion to offer:

I know he’s just kidding, but Reese Witherspoon has some serious chops! Did you see that movie where she goes for a walk? Such drama!!!
