Keith Merrow + Wes Hauch = New Band Alluvial!

0

Time to get excite! Guitarist Keith Merrow — whose solo work we’ve been jocking for years from who teamed up with Jeff Loomis for Conquering Dystopia — has teamed up with fellow guitarist Wes Hauch — he played in The Faceless on the Autotheism album cycle and recently joined Black Crown Initiate — for a brand new project called Alluvial.

The outfit has an entire album recorded but they’re seeking a vocalist to complete the lineup. So they’ve gone ahead and released one of the album’s songs sans vocals — with a guest solo by Marty Friedman! — to act as a sort of calling card for any vocalists out there who think they might fit the bill.

And it sounds beyond buttery. It’s moody, atmospheric, heavy (musically and emotionally)… it’s every bit the quality progressive death metal you’d expect from this duo. And that’s even without vocals.

To audition, download the song here. Record and upload your vocal audition video to YouTube (not required but encouraged), or email an mp3 of your audition to [email protected]. Please include your lyrics in the video description, and/or in your email.

Keep up with Alluvial on Facebook, too.

Good luck, everyone! Stoked to hear who eventually ends up getting the spot, because this duo is capable of writing some tasty jams… which the below track proves.
