Exclusive Song + Video Premiere: Great American Ghost’s “Destroyer”

0

Being massive fans of Great American Ghost‘s 2015 full-length, Everyone Leaves, MetalSucks agreed to premiere the band’s new track and video, “Destroyer,” before this week’s election. Still, we can’t help but note the appropriateness a band with this name releasing a song with this title this week. If that’s not kismet…

Regardless, we could be celebrating the victory of President Elect Tom Morello today, and Great American Ghost’s “Destroyer” would still kick your ass so hard that Jeff Hanneman feels it. Fueled by jagged-edged shiv stabs of a main riff and a trampling chorus, “Destroyer” is an aural smack in the face that will have you begging to be hit again. It doesn’t hurt that the song is catchier than fly paper, either; this song will get stuck in your head like a nail hammered into your skull. It’s fucking great.

Do yourself a favor and check out Great American Ghost’s “Destroyer” below. (And don’t just listen to the song — check out the video, too. Real men aren’t afraid to wear salmon.) The track represents one half of Don’t Come Back, a new two-song digital single that Good Fight will release a week from today, Friday, November 18. The release ties in with a weekend of shows Great American Ghost will be playing with Ion Dissonance, Fit for an Autopsy, and Of Feather of Bone. Holy shit, that’s a great line-up! You can get those dates at the bottom of this very post!!!
