Video: Korn’s Fieldy and Ray Luzier Surprise-Perform with Korn Tribute Band

0

The past year has seen all sorts of live collaborations between rock stars and the fans that adore them. Alice in Chains let a guy in the audience holding up a sign come on stage and play drums with them on a song. The Dillinger Escape Plan had a fan fill-in when vocalist Greg Puciato wasn’t able to make a gig. Gojira invited a twelve-year-old to jam with them during soundcheck. Tool had a fan up on-stage to be Danny Carey drum-tech.

And now Korn may’ve upped the ante: at Saturday night’s gig in Manchester, UK, bassist Fieldy and drummer Ray Luzier got up on stage with Korn tribute band Korn Again to play two entire songs! We’re not sure how exactly it all came to pass — the band members certainly seem surprised as the whole event unfolds, although there had to be some kind of premeditation involved — but we’d have to imagine this is the kind of thing of which members of any tribute band dream.

MetalSucks reader Craig S. sent in the following video, filmed by Vicky Reader, of Korn Again with Fieldy and Luzier playing “Here to Stay” from 2002’s Untouchables. I wonder what Korn Again’s bassist and drummer were thinking while watching from the side of the stage?
