Listen to Suicide Silence’s New Single, “Doris”
It’s a little later than anticipated, but Suicide Silence have released their new single, “Doris.” You may recall that the band first debuted this song live back in October, in which case you’re prepared for the fact that it has a bunch of clean vocals; you may not recall that the band first debuted this song live back in October, in which case, hey, guess what? The song has a bunch of clean vocals.
I gotta say, I love it. The singing isn’t the usual mopey emo shit we’ve come to associate with good cop/bad cop vocals; it’s much more Deftones-y in nature. In any case, the change is a welcome one. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a Suicide Silence song this much since No Time to Bleed. At the beginning of the track, you can hear vocalist Eddie Hermida yell “FUCK YEAH!”. I share his enthusiasm.
Check out “Doris” below. The song will appear on Suicide Silence’s new, self-titled album, which comes out February 24 on Nuclear Blast. Pre-order it here.
