Trey Azagthoth Offers Morbid Angel Studio Update, Reveals Drummer and Producer for New Album

Hard to believe, but this summer it will have been six years since Morbid Angel released their last album, the instant non-classic Illud Divinum Insanus. That’s a long time for the band to go without taking a stab at redeeming themselves… heck, even Metallica only took five years to release Death Magnetic after St. Anger.

It would appear, however, that hope is on the horizon, if this Facebook update from Trey Azagthoth is any indication:

If I’m not horribly mistaken, this will be Morbid Angel’s first time work with Rutan as a producer, and their first time working with him at all since 1995’s Domination, on which he played guitar. Fuller, meanwhile, is also a member of Abysmal Dawn, and has performed with Havok and Jungle Rot.

In other words: so far, this is all promising news.

More as we get it…

Thanks: R.C.
