When they’re not busy defending our borders, Obituary also like to make music. To that end, the band will release a new, self-titled album on March 17 via Relapse. It seems worth pointing out that one of the ten tracks on the record will be “Ten Thousand Ways to Die,” which was actually released last year. So you have at least some idea of what Obituary will sound like.

This will give at least some more idea: a forty-five second sample of another song on the release (I’m not sure what it’s called). It sounds more death n’ roll than death metal, but I’ll wait ’til we can at least hear the full song before passing judgment.

In the meantime, you can check out the audio sample below, and pre-order Obituary here. The band will also be part of this year’s Decibel Magazine Tour along with Kreator, Midnight, and Horrendous; get dates here.
