Beavis And Butt-Head: The Complete Collection DVD Set To Be Released on Valentine’s Day

0

Ten years ago Beavis and Butt-Head creator Mike Judge released Beavis and Butt-Head: The Mike Judge Collection, a three-volume DVD set containing every episode of the show. I snatched it up right away, and let me tell you something: that shit was still just as funny as it was back in the day, perhaps even moreso with the advantage age provides for appreciating nuance.

The one major bummer of The Mike Judge Collection was that B&B’s classic music video commentary was stripped out of the episodes due to difficulty obtaining the licensing rights for all that music. Several music videos were included in the sets as bonus content, but it just wasn’t the same.

Now MTV and Paramount Home Video have teamed up to release Beavis & Butt-Head: The Complete Collection on Valentine’s Day, just in time to score with your special boo and play with her thingies. Metal Insider tells us that the 12-DVD set (!) includes all three volumes of the original TV series, a fourth volume of the show’s 2011 return, a special collector’s edition of the feature film Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, the duo’s VMA appearances, Thanksgiving specials, an uncut version of the series pilot “Frog Baseball,” the 1994-1996 Butt-Bowls and more, totaling almost 18 hours of footage.

The big question, of course: will the music videos be included as part of the original episodes? We can’t find any information on the matter but we’d have to guess, unfortunately, that the answer is no. STILL, unless you already have The Mike Judge Collection (and perhaps even if you do) this is worth a buy for all that extra content, especially at the too-good-to-be-true price currently listed at Amazon: $26.99! Get on it.
