Def Leppard, Poison and Tesla Announce Massive Spring Arena Tour

0

Since it’s no longer possible to package the biggest rock bands of the ’80s together into new combinations that bring the masses out each and every year, concert promoters have decided to bring back a successful formula: Def Leppard and Poison are teaming up for massive arena tour of North America this coming spring, having previously done so in 2009 and 2012. Tesla will join as well. The tour starts at the beginning of April and lasts for nearly three months, going friggin’ everywhere.

I haven’t seen Def Leppard live in at least 10 years, but they always put on a fantastic show, full of energy and those spot-on, four-part vocal harmonies for which we know them so well. Even if don’t consider yourself a fan of the band, you’ll have a blast; it’s hit after hit, and you’ll know almost every song even if you think you won’t.

Poison… well, I’ll admit I was into them back in the day, but when Axl and I saw them open for Motley Crue a few years back, yeesh, the whole thing was just embarrassing. You know that feeling when something is so cringe-worthy that you’re embarrassed FOR someone? It was that. When the band unfurled a back-drop featuring all of their smiling mugs I wanted to die.

I can’t recall if I’ve ever seen Tesla live, but I could totally get down with that. Solid band! So, in honor of Tesla, we’ll embed “Love Song” below.
