And the Title of the New Stone Sour Album is…
Hydrograd!
Corey Taylor made the reveal during an interview at NAMM this past weekend (see below). He also revealed the band is primarily recording the album live (meaning they all get into the studio at one time and play together, rather than record their parts individually one at a time), which is awesome to hear.
As for the meaning of the title, Taylor says “there’s a long story behind that,” but doesn’t reveal the story. Personally, I’m hoping it has something to with a getting a PhD in water. Metal has ignored the inherent brutality of aquaeduction for far too long.
Presumably, this bad boy’ll be out before the end of the year.
