Emmure Co-Founders on Frankie Palmeri: “Nobody Takes him Fuckin’ Seriously.”

Last March, Emmure’s Frankie Palmeri admitted that he has been “an egotistical, psychotic, moronic douche,” and the world thought perhaps the controversial frontman had turned over a new leaf. As it turns out, not so much: speaking of Emmure’s now-former members last week, Palmeri commented that “no one even knows who the fuck those guys are.”

Well, at least one person knows who the fuck those guys are — MetalSucks’ own Brian Storm. The Rock Feed founder contacted Ben (guitar) and Joe (drums) Lionetti, the brothers who co-founded Emmure and played on their first two albums, Goodbye to the Gallows (2007) and The Respect Issue (2008), to get their thoughts on Palmeri’s assertion. As you can imagine, their response was less-than-kind: Ben said Palmeri is “just digging his own grave” and claims that “Nobody takes him fuckin’ seriously,” while Joe added that he “feel[s] for” Palmeri because “anyone he has been close to he has just kinda’ like pushed away.” Watch:

This is not the first time The Brothers Lionetti have expressed less-than-flattering opinions of their former bandmate: in 2014, Ben called Palmeri “a disgusting human being,” and further alleged that Palmeri takes far too much credit for Emmure’s success. In other words, there will be a Respect Issue-era line-up reunion right around the time Nibiru collides with Earth.
