All That Remains Release Two New Songs, One of Which is Actually Metal

Good news for people with thick skulls: All That Remains have released not one, but TWO new songs. The first, “Madness,” is a nu-alt-metal radio advertisement for auto-tune, akin to Five Finger Death Punch or In This Moment; the second, “Safe House,” is actually a metal song, which is kind of surprising, given that All That Remains “transcended metal” in 2014. Which is not to say that the song is good — just that it’s heavy. Honestly, listening to Phil Labonte scream “WELCOME TO MY SAFE HOUSE!” is kinda funny. I keep expecting the next line to be “YOU CAN HANG YOUR COAT IN THE CLOSET, LET ME SHOW YOU TO THE GUEST ROOM!”

Anyway, you can listen below if you’re so inclined. The songs will presumably appear on All That Remains’ next album, although we still don’t know what that album will be called or when it will be released. Gee, what a bummer.
