In case you missed it the last time I posted about them, New York City’s own Beast Modulus make furious, off-kilter math metal sprinkled with sludge and doom influences. It’s unsurprising that this band fucking slays, as it features former members of NYC underground acts like Demilitia, Family, and Flaming Tusk. If you’re smart, like Axl, you caught them destroying Saint Vitus in Brooklyn last night; if you suck, like me, you only wish you had.

Anyway, Beast Modulus have a new EP, Being, coming out on April 7th, and we’re pleased as punch to premiere a track from the album. The song’s called “Skeleton Key,” and it has an awesome mixture of seasick downer rock and slab-like groove. If you like a lot of yearning in your metal but still want to feel your molars forcibly loosened, then this song is for you.

Listen to “Skeleton Key” below and get bent. Beast Modulus’ Being EP drops on 4/7. You can get it at their Bandcamp here, and keep up with the band on their Facebook.
